For the second straight week, live golf delivered as some of the best players in the world teed it up. It's just that, this time, they came from two different sports. The Match: Champions for Charity saw Tiger Woods and Peyton Manning beat Phil Mickelson and Tom Brady 1UP at Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida.
This match raised $20 million for a variety of organizations to assist with coronavirus pandemic relief efforts, and it featured four of the best to ever play any sport. They played in fancy carts without caddies and attempted to maintain social distancing measures. Rules were best ball on the front nine and alternate shot on the back with some unique twists, and while the Woods-Manning team was 3UP through 10, the Mickelson-Brady pair made a terrific effort down the stretch.
In the end, the favorited Woods-Manning pair claimed victory, allowing Tiger to even his "The Match" record 1-1 with Lefty. CBS Sports was with you the entire way updating this story with scores, highlights and analysis from The Match. PGA Tour golf returns to CBS soon with the Charles Schwab Challenge on June 13-14.
