The significant others of the Yankees made a cameo during the tense final inning of Game 2 of their American League wild-card series.
As the game stretched into the early hours of Thursday, ESPN cameras panned to New York’s cheering section at Progressive Field in Cleveland, as the group intensely watched the Yankees trail by one against the Indians at the top of the ninth.
The Yankees rallied to a 10-9 victory over the Indians, advancing to the ALDS, where they’ll face the Tampa Bay Rays in a best-of-five series. It’s now on to California, where the two ALDS series will be played in San Diego and Los Angeles.
Earlier in the week, the group documented their travels leading up to the Cleveland series. They were able to watch the two Yankees victories from a suite down the right-field line.
Also in attendance was Amy Cole — the wife of pitcher Gerrit Cole — who snapped photos of their son Caden’s first baseball game.
“Caden’s first game was one for the books!” Amy posted Wednesday to Instagram a day after Gerrit’s dominant performance led the Yankees to a 12-3 Game 1 victory.
The Coles welcomed Caden in June.
