Oklahoma receiver Marquise Brown was carted from the sideline to the locker room after suffering an injury to his ankle/foot area early in the fourth quarter of the Big 12 Championship game Saturday.
Brown did not return to the Sooners' 39-27 victory against the Texas Longhorns, appearing late in the game on the sideline in street clothes and on crutches.
Brown, an All-Big 12 selection and the Sooners' leading receiver, took a big hit after his fifth catch of the game, limping to the bench, where he stayed until the cart picked him up.
He had been battling an ankle sprain for much of the season.
Brown finished with 54 receiving yards against the Longhorns as the Sooners won the Big 12 title. For the season, he has 75 receptions, 1,318 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
