Kansas City Chiefs Jones, Ward, Hill and Thuney will play vs. Titans - Arrowhead Pride

The Kansas City Chiefs have released their list of inactive players for Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans. Defensive tackle Chris Jones (hand), wide receiver Tyreek Hill (quad), left guard Joe Thuney (hand) and cornerback Charvarius Ward (quad) will all suit up for the game.

But fullback Michael Burton (pectoral), linebacker Anthony Hitchens (tricep), and tight end Jody Fortson (achilles) will be sidelined.

Burton, Hitchens and Fortson had already been declared out in Friday’s final injury report. On Saturday, the Chiefs placed Fortson on their Reserve/Injured list, so he doesn't appear on the game’s inactive list. He is expected to miss the rest of the season.

Jones, Hill, Thuney and Ward had all been listed as questionable on Friday. All except Ward were full participants in Friday’s practice. Ward is returning to the lineup after missing four games.

The rest of Sunday’s inactive players should be considered healthy scratches.

While neither tight end Travis Kelce (neck) or safety Tyrann Mathieu (thumb/toe) been given an injury status for the game, both had been listed as limited participants in practice on Wednesday and Thursday — and then practiced fully on Friday. Right guard Trey Smith (ankle) and defensive tackle Jarran Reed (back) were both limited on Wednesday but were upgraded to full participation for the rest of the week. All are active for the game.

In all, 16 Kansas City players were listed on the team’s initial injury report on Wednesday. The rest of them — left tackle Orlando Brown (groin), tight end Blake Bell (back), defensive tackle Khalen Saunders (ankle), cornerback Chris Lammons (shin) and cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (wrist) — practiced fully all week and will play

On Saturday, the Chiefs elevated linebackers Darius Harris and Christian Rozeboom from the practice squad to the active roster for the Titans game. Both are active and will be dressed for the game. As elevated players, they will automatically be returned to the team’s practice squad after the game.

The Titans have also released their list of inactives for the game. Left tackle Taylor Lewan (concussion), wide receiver Chester Rogers (groin), linebacker Monty Rice (groin), and defensive back Amani Hooker (groin) will all miss the game against the Chiefs.

But outside linebacker Bud Dupree (knee), wide receiver Julio Jones (hamstring) and running back Jeremy McNichols (ankle) will play.

On Friday, the Titans listed Lewan, Rogers and Rice as out. Dupree, Hooker, Jones and McNichols were all listed as questionable for the game.

Meanwhile, guard Rodger Saffold III (shoulder), fullback Khari Blasingame (shoulder), running back Derrick Henry (rest), wide receiver A.J. Brown (illness), defensive back Chris Jackson (ankle) and placekicker Randy Bullock (shoulder) all missed (or were limited in) some of this week’s practices — but all were listed as full participants on Friday. All — except Jackson — will be active against Kansas City.

On Saturday, Tennessee elevated defensive back Chris Jones (yes... another player on the field named Chirs Jones) and wide receiver Mason Kinsey from their practice squad to the active roster for Sunday’s game. Both will be available to play, but will then automatically be returned to the practice squad.
