Buffalo Bills at Tennessee Titans: First-half open thread - Buffalo Rumblings

The Buffalo Bills will face off against the Tennessee Titans in Nashbille Nashville for the third consecutive season, and this time it’s on Monday Night Football. Buffalo currently sits in first place in the weak AFC East while the Titans currently sit in first place in the weak AFC South.

Both teams have the inside shot at winning their division, but Buffalo has been downright dominant aside from a Week 1 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Bills currently lead the league in points scored (172) and fewest points allowed (64). Tennessee, meanwhile, is eighth in points scored (132) and just 24th in fewest points allowed (130).

Last year, the Titans demolished Buffalo in a Week 5 victory, dealing the Bills their first loss of the season with a 42-16 shellacking. That game was an oddity on many fronts—the Titans had four touchdown drives of 30 yards or fewer, and thanks to a COVID-19 outbreak, the game was delayed numerous times before it was played. Buffalo was also a banged-up bunch, as Tre’Davious White, Levi Wallace, and Matt Milano all missed the game.

This year, the Bills are healthy, and quarterback Josh Allen is back on track after a slow start to his season. Allen has completed 62 percent of his passes on the year for 1,370 yards, 12 touchdowns, and just two interceptions. He’s also rushed for 188 yards and two touchdowns on 35 carries.

Speaking of rushing, Tennessee running back Derrick Henry once again leads the NFL in carries (142), rushing yards (640) and rushing touchdowns (7) through five games. He’s led the league in all three of those categories for each of the last two years, as well.
