No. 2 seed Houston faces its largest deficit of the season against No. 1 seed Baylor in Saturday's Final Four showdown, and Cougars fans, I've got some bad news to add: it's only halftime. The Bears put forth one of their most complete 20 minutes of basketball to strut to a 45-20 lead entering the break. That coincided with one of the worst 20 minutes of basketball the Cougars have played all season.

It was one run after another for Baylor as its shot-making devastated Houston. An 11-0 run helped build its lead, then an 18-3 run to end the half helped built it some more, capped by a Davion Mitchell 3-pointer at the buzzer. It's one of the most lopsided first halves of a Final Four in recent memory.

Houston guard Marcus Sasser did his part, accounting for 17 of the team's 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting. But non-Sasser players on Houston went a combined 1-of-15 from the floor and committed nine first-half turnovers. Baylor's depth exacerbated matters, as Jared Butler scored 17 in the first half and four different players knocked down 3s.

It was an historic first half for Baylor to get here, and it'd take an equally historic Houston second half to make a run to close the big gap. We'll see if the Cougars have any juice left, but it's been all Bears thus far.
