Baltimore had built an early lead, but the Steelers tied it before the half. In the second half, the Ravens had a big turnover and kicked enough field goals to get the hard win.

Joe Flacco was effective for the Ravens, throwing for a pair of touchdowns and 363 yards while completing 28 of 42 passes. Justin Tucker made all four of his field goal attempts, while they managed to rush for 99 yards as a team, with Alex Collins picking up 42 of them on 11 carries.

Baltimore started the game red-hot, with two touchdowns before the Steelers managed to get on the board. Joe Flacco was very good, but the Ravens slowed down considerably in the second quarter, allowing Pittsburgh to score 14 unanswered points, making it a tie game going into the second half.

Once again, backup quarterback Lamar Jackson was used occasionally, finishing the game with 17 yards rushing.

Next up, the Ravens will continue their three-game road trip with a Sunday game against the Cleveland Browns. The Steelers will remain at home for another week for a game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Below is the full live blog from Sunday, in reverse order.

Ravens 26, Steelers 14, FINAL: Pittsburgh can’t get anything on the ensuing drive, so the Ravens take back over and kneel out the game for a win.

Ravens 26, Steelers 14, 1:52, 4Q: Pittsburgh is offsides on the kickoff, so there’s a 5-yard penalty. Roethlisberger throws incomplete to Conner, then incomplete deep to Washington. On 3rd-and-10, Roethlisberger throws it to Brown, but doesn’t see Levine underneath, who jumps the route and picks him off! So the Ravens will take over deep in Pittsburgh territory. Allen gets the ball on first down, and he avoids a couple defenders to pick up a quick 11 yards, into the red zone now. Allen gets a yard, and the Steelers take a timeout. They run it again, and the Steelers use their final timeout. Allen picks up 3 yards on another run, and the clock is stopped by the two-minute warning. The Ravens will kick another field goal, and it’s good.

Ravens 23, Steelers 14, 3:37, 4Q: A 15-yard pass to Conner starts the drive off well for the Steelers, but two Roethlisberger incompletions and a short gain for Smith-Schuster later, and they’re facing a fourth down from their own territory. They punt it away and the Ravens take over from their own 4-yard line. Pittsburgh is called for illegal use of hands, so it’s a quick 5 yards. Flacco hits Boyle for 8 yards, but the Ravens are called for holding on the next play, setting up a 1st-and-18. Flacco hits Allen for 14 yards, then Boyle for 18 yards. Two runs later, they have a 3rd-and-1, and Flacco finds Williams for 22 yards. Then he hits Snead for 10 yards. Allen picks up 3 yards, but Flacco throws incomplete twice. On fourth down from the Pittsburgh 10-yard line, Tucker connects on a 28-yard field goal, making it a two-score game.

Ravens 20, Steelers 14, 11:42, 4Q: Jackson lines up under center, and he keeps it, but doesn’t pick up anything. So it’s a 4th-and-1, and the Ravens appear to be going for it. They line up and then immediately take a timeout, so perhaps not. After the timeout, they keep the offense out there and DO go it — it’s a run, and they get it. On first down, Flacco hits Williams for 5 yards. On second down, Flacco is sacked, so it’s a 3rd-and-7. Flacco throws to Snead well short of the first down marker, so it’s fourth down again. This time Tucker is out there for the 49-yard field goal attempt. It’s good, so it’s now a 6-point game.

Ravens 17, Steelers 14, END 3Q: Pittsburgh takes over, but two incomplete passes and a run for a loss of 2 yards leads to a quick 3-and-out. The Ravens take over from their 32-yard line, but get pushed back 10 yards for holding. On 1st-and-20, Flacco throws incomplete. On second down, he hits Boyle for a9 -yard gain, then the Steelers are called for too many men on the field. So it’s 3rd-and-6, and Flacco hits Snead for 14 yards. Jackson picks up 5 yards, then Allen gets 2 yards on a short pass. The third quarter comes to an end with Baltimore facing a third down in Pittsburgh territory.

Ravens 17, Steelers 14, 3:58, 3Q: Flacco hits Crabtree for 13 yards to start their drive. Collins picks up 7 yards on the ground, then Flacco throws incomplete to Crabtree. On third down, it’s a short run for Jackson, and the officials come out to measure it. They give him the first down. The Steelers challenge it, and the call stands. Flacco hits Andrews for 10 yards, then on first down, he misses a wide open Brown in the end zone. On second down, Flacco has to throw it away, so now it’s a 3rd-and-10. They get it on a 14-yard pass to White, but quickly face another third down after a short run and an incomplete pass. On third down, Flacco misses Crabtree again, and Tucker is brought on for the 47-yard field goal. It’s good, and the Ravens have the lead back.

Ravens 14, Steelers 14, 7:24, 3Q: Collins picks up 4 to start for the Ravens, then Flacco hits Williams over the middle for a nice gain of 17 yards. He then finds Brown for 12 yards, and they’re into Pittsburgh territory. Collins picks up 5 yards, then Flacco throws incomplete to Brown. On 3rd-and-5, the Ravens are called for false start, so it’s a 3rd-and-10, and Flacco’s pass to Brown is incomplete. They punt it, and it’s a touchback.

Roethlisberger finds Smith-Schuster for 7 yards on first down, and they convert on second with a quick pass to Switzer. Brown picks up 5 yards, then Switzer gets 1 yard. On 3rd-and-4, Roethlisberger misses Brown, so they will punt. The Ravens will have it at the 20-yard line.

Ravens 14, Steelers 14, 12:54, 3Q: Pittsburgh starts from their own 34-yard line after the return from Switzer from his own end-zone. They pick up 4 yards, then 3 yards, but on 3rd-and-3, Roethlisberger goes to Switzer, who is tackled for a loss of 5 yards. So the Steelers punt it away to start the third. Baltimore will take over from their own 26-yard line.

Ravens 14, Steelers 14, END 2Q: Baltimore takes over from their own 23-yard line. They pick up a yard from Allen, and we get the two-minute warning. Flacco throws incomplete, then hits Snead for 12 yards. On the first down, Flacco is sacked by Dupree for a loss of 6 yards, then they pick up 15 yards with a pass to Allen on 2nd-and-16. So it’s a 3rd-and-1, and Allen is unable to pick it up. They punt it away, and the Steelers kneel out the half.

Ravens 14, Steelers 14, 2:50, 2Q: Baltimore gets the ball back, and they pick up a quick first down with a Flacco pass to Snead for 13 yards. Flacco completes for 2 yards, then throws incomplete short, and then incomplete deep. So the Ravens will punt. Holding on them on the punt, so they re-kick. Pittsburgh takes over on their own 24-yard line. Roethlisberger hits McDonald for 11 yards, then throws incomplete. He finds McDonald for a 33-yard pickup, then Washington for 6 yards. On 2nd-and-4, Roethlisberger hits Brown for a 26-yard touchdown! They are going to go for two to try and tie it. Roethlisberger dumps it off to Conner, who makes it in and we have a tie game!

Ravens 14, Steelers 6, 6:26, 2Q: Roethlisberger throws incomplete on first down from his own 1-yard line, but with good protection finds James for 23 yards, a first down, and some much-needed breathing room. Baltimore is called for too many men on the field on the next play. They’re called for it again, but the officials pick up the flag. Roethlisberger hits Washington for 4 yards, then McDonald for a 12-yard pickup. He then finds Smith-Schuster for an 11-yard gain, then Switzer for 6 yards. On second down, he throws incomplete to Smith-Schuster, but on third down he finds Brown for a first down. He then hits Brown again for 7 yards. He misses Smith-Schuster on second down, and the receiver was injured on the play. On 3rd-and-3, Roethlisberger goes deep to Brown, but it’s incomplete. They’ll try and kick the field goal — and Boswell is good from 39 yards.

Ravens 14, Steelers 3, 12:39, 2Q: Touchback, so the Ravens start from their own 25-yard line. On first down, Flacco has great protection and he finds Brown again, this one for a massive 71-yard gain. Edmunds was able to force him out of bounds at the Pittsburgh 13-yard line after getting beat on the play. Offsides of the Steelers, so it’s a 1st-and-5. Flacco finds Williams for the first down. They line up at the Pittsburgh 2-yard line, and they’ll try to run it in with three tries. Actually, scratch that, they only get one try, as the Steelers manage to force and recover a fumble! Wow! Pittsburgh ball.

Ravens 14, Steelers 3, 14:07, 2Q: Roethlisberger throws incomplete to start the second quarter. Then pick up 3 yards on a short run from Conner, and face a 3rd-and-7. Roethlisberger’s pass is incomplete to Smith-Schuster, so they bring on Boswell for the field goal. He makes it from 34 yards out to put Pittsburgh on the board.

Ravens 14, Steelers 0, END 1Q: Defensive holding on the Ravens to start. Conner picks up 2 yards on the ground, then Roethlisberger has Pittsburgh’s first big play of the game — a 38-yard completion to Smith-Schuster. Switzer picks up 8 yards and a first down on another pass from Roethlisberger. He then hits Switzer two more times, for 6 yards and 3 yards. It’s a 3rd-and-1, and the Steelers convert it with a Conner run. End of quarter one!

Ravens 14, Steelers 0, 4:33, 1Q: Down two scores, the Steelers take the field on their own 21-yard line. They immediately are backed up 10 yards by a Smith-Schuster holding penalty. The first-down pass goes incomplete, then Conner rushes for 2 yards. The short third-down pass goes for 1 yards, and the Steelers punt it away. Baltimore gets the ball at their own 42-yard line. They pick up a yard on a run, then a yard on a pass, but Flacco misses a wide open Crabtree on 3rd-and-8, so the Ravens quickly go three-and-out. The Steelers will have the ball at their own 15-yard line.

Ravens 14, Steelers 0, 8:03, 1Q: Steelers takeover from their own 25-yard line. McDonald picks up 6 yards, then a pass to Brown falls incomplete. On third down, Roethlisberger finds McDonald again, but he fumbles, and the ball is recovered by Jefferson! He runs it in for the touchdown, though it’s under review to see if he was down before running it back. They rule that he was, and take the points off the board. But it’s Baltimore’s ball at the Pittsburgh 31-yard line!

Flacco goes deep to MOore for 19 yards, then Jackson is in the game for an 8-yard run. Collins picks up a yard, bringing up a third down — and it’s another Flacco touchdown, this one to Collins for 3 yards! The extra point is good.

Ravens 7, Steelers 0, 10:45, 1Q: Touchback to start, and the Ravens will start from their own 25-yard line. Collins picks up 11 yards on the ground to start, then they have an early third down after short gains to Brown and Crabtree. Then Flacco finds Crabtree for the first down — there’s a penalty on the defense, and Baltimore declines. Collins gets another 6 yards, and on second down Flacco has all the time in the world, but nobody gets open so he settles for a 2-yard gain to Snead. On third down, Allen picks up 4 yards for the first down. Flacco then finds Brown for 33 yards and a touchdown to take an early lead! The extra point is good.

It’s been a weird season for Mike Tomlin and the Pittsburgh Steelers. With Le’Veon Bell not paid, and therefore not around, the team has started out with a 1-1-1 record. That includes a tie against the Browns, a loss to the Chiefs, and a very close win over the Buccaneers in their last outing. Now they’ll play host to the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football beginning at 8:20 p.m. ET (live streaming via FuboTV, NBC Sports).

The Ravens are 2-1, dominating both the Bills and Broncos, but losing to the rival Bengals on the road in Week 2. They have three road games in a row next — against the Steelers, Browns and Titans. Joe Flacco has been good for the Ravens through three games, a good sign given his shaky play in recent years. He’s completed 63.6 percent of his passes for 889 yards, six touchdowns, and two interceptions.
