NEW YORK a Watch Yankees beat reporter Brendan Kuty explain why it's time to panic over struggling ace Luis Severino following an 8-5 loss to the Mets at Yankee Stadium on Monday night.

Here are some Yankees notes, via the team's media relations department.
- The Yankees fell to 3-2 on their season-long 11-game homestand...are 6-2 in their last 8G...are a season-high 10.0G behind first-place Boston (idle tonight), their largest division deficit since finishing the 2016 season 10.0G back.
- Suffered their second series loss of the season (also 1-3 from 4/5-8 vs. Baltimore)...had gone 13-0-3 in their previous 16 series, their longest streak without dropping a series at home since going 20-0-5 over 25 series from 9/15/97-8/16/98...are still 41-18 (.695) at Yankee Stadium.
- Fell to 10-8 in Interleague play...went 3-3 in 6G vs. the Mets in 2018, splitting the Subway Series for the third time in five years (2016, '14).
- 3B Miguel AnduIjar (1-for-4) hit a two-run HR in the eighth...has homered in four of his last 7G (since 8/7), batting .345 (10-for-29) with 8R, 1 double, 4HR, 10RBI, 1BB, 1HP and 1SB...his 18HR are tied with teammate Gleyber Torres and Chicago-AL's Daniel Palka for the lead among AL rookies (tied for second among MLB rookies to San Diego's Christian Villanueva-20HR)...has RBI in five consecutive games (8RBI).
- CF Aaron Hicks (2-for-3, 1R, 1RBI, 1BB) hit an RBI single in the third...has at least 1RBI in nine of his last 15G since 7/28.
- Has reached safely (via H/BB/HP) multiple times in 13-of-16 home games since the start of July, batting .385/.529/.788 (20-for-52) with 16R, 3 doubles, 6HR, 14RBI, 17BB and 1SB. aC/ LF Brett Gardner (1-for-4, 1R, 1 double, 1BB) collected his 200th career double in the fifth.
- DH Giancarlo Stanton (0-for-3, 1R, 1BB) has scored at least 1R in eight consecutive games, tying his career best (8G from 8/10-18/17 w/ Miami).
- Yankees batters had their multi-HR streak snapped at seven games...was tied for the second-longest multi-HR streak in franchise history, behind a nine-game streak from 5/15-23/09.
- Have scored at least 5R in 15 consecutive home games...is the second-longest such streak at home in franchise history (21 straight from 6/2- 7/14/38)...is tied for the seventh-longest such streak in Major League history, and tied for the longest since the start of 2001 (Boston, 15 straight from 8/2-9/1/05).
- Have hit a Major League-leading 193HR...are on pace to hit 264HR (the MLB record is 264HR by Seattle in 1997).
- RHP Luis Severino (4.0IP, 7H, 4ER, 1BB, 6K, 2HR) started and took his sixth loss...marked his shortest start of the season...is 1-4 with a 7.84 ERA (31.0IP, 27ER) in his last six starts after winning his previous six starts with a 1.67 ERA (32.1IP, 6ER)...has allowed at least 1HR in a career-high seven consecutive starts...allowed his first career leadoff HR to Amed Rosario.
