It had looked likely for a while that Quay Walker would sign with someone other than Alabama.
And that's how it played out on National Signing Day.
The four-star Georgia linebacker, who had been committed to Alabama since June, announced Wednesday morning that he will instead sign with Georgia.
It's a big loss for the Crimson Tide.
Walker is the second-best outside linebacker and 31st-best overall prospect in this year's recruiting class, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Another four-star linebacker, Vernon Jackson, decommitted from Alabama on Tuesday and won't sign with the Tide.
Alabama, though, did sign a linebacker Wednesday morning -- three-star South Carolina inside linebacker Jaylen Moody.
