After completing 7-of-8 passes on his first drive, Oklahoma quarterback Spencer Rattler went through a period completing just 2-of-7 passes. Since the first drive, Oklahoma has put together just three drives: two punts, a missed field goal and the end of the half. Rattler has completed 13-of-19 passes for 105 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Nebraska has found a way to stay in the game thanks to strong play from quarterback Adrian Martinez. He has completed 8-of-11 passes for 87 yards and rushed for 17 yards to lead all Cornhuskers. Nebraska has done an exceptional job of converting on third and fourth down, hitting on 5-of-10 third down conversions – many of them lengthy – and on its only fourth down conversion.
Oklahoma leads Nebraska in total yardage 200 to 137 yards, but the Sooners have struggled to convert yardage into points. Both teams have already missed long field goals.
