Do the New York Giants have what it takes to continue their winning streak? With playoff possibilities on the line, the Giants head to Seattle to battle a talented Seahawks squad.
As we do every week, we simulated the matchup in Madden 21, to determine what the outcome could be. So far this year, Madden has correctly predicted nine of the Giants 11 games.
The first and second half of this contest were polar opposites. Scoring and rushing production was high for the first two quarters, starting with a 50-plus yard touchdown by Chris Carson. The score at halftime weighed heavily in Seattle’s favor at 14-3.
Both defenses stepped up to the challenge for the second half of this game, limiting the total scoring to three points until the final 30 seconds. Just as things looked bleak for New York, Colt McCoy let the offense on a last second scoring drive while down 14-6.
After a connection to Darius Slayton, all the Giants needed was a 2-point conversion to tie the game. Sadly, McCoy was stopped short of the end zone while scrambling out of the pocket. The final score stood at 14-12.
Seahawks running back Chris Carson had the best day, finishing with 114 yards and a score. Wayne Gallman finished with a 51-yard rush, and 70 yards for the day.
Considering both teams’ affinity for running the football lately, a defensive and rushing battle appears plausible. But will this be how the game unfurls?
