
On Friday evening, the Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Dodgers pulled off a blockbuster trade that dramatically changed the look of the Reds' outfield and starting rotation, sending outfielders Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp, left-handed starting pitcher Alex Wood and utility player Kyle Farmer to Cincinnati for starting pitcher Homer Bailey and minor-leaguers Jeter Downs and Josiah Gray.
The deal was praised by The Enquirer's John Fay and Paul Daugherty, as well as writers outside of Cincinnati. And some of the players involved in the trade, a couple of current Reds and both team accounts offered reactions via Twitter:
