
The Raiders, scheduled for relocation to Las Vegas for the 2020 season, don’t have a home for the 2019 campaign, a fact that doesn’t seem to bother owner Mark Davis.
“That’s definitely emotionally how I feel,” he said Wednesday afternoon from the NFL owner’s meetings. “We did put a pretty lucrative package on the table for them and they came back with what they did.”
Them is the city of Oakland, where the Raiders presented a $7.5 million offer as rent for the 2019 season. The city filed a federal lawsuit on Tuesday saying the Raiders are making an illegal move to Las Vegas. Oakland City Attorney Barbara J. Parker said the lawsuit seeks financial compensation because of the move and “Oakland taxpayers invested in the Raiders and other costs.”
