SEC Media Days: Watch reporter ask Kirby Smart about QB he didn't know left team

The questions never stop.

It's SEC Media Days after all.

Some you've heard. Some you haven't.

On Tuesday, there's a good chance Georgia coach Kirby Smart got a question he won't hear again, at least in the context in which it was asked.

A reporter asked: "With (Jacob) Eason, (Jake) Fromm and (Justin) Fields, have you ever seen a better stock of quarterback in your career?

It is your standard run-of-the-mill quarterback question. The problem is, as many of you already know, Eason is no longer on the roster.

To Smart's credit, he answered the question.

"Yeah," he said. "If we had all three of them, we'd be sitting pretty good. Eason is gone. He transferred.

"With our situation, we have two quarterbacks that are both really talented guys. I am really excited about watching these two guys come out and lead our program and lead their units. They both have grown. They've both done a tremendous job of embracing that role, not only in the locker room, but out in the field in spring practice. And I think Jake and Justin are tremendous assets for our program."

Eason started the 2017 season for Georgia before an injury forced. Fromm took over and never looked back, leading the Bulldogs to the College Football Playoff national championships.

Eason announced his transfer from Georgia back in January.

The question managed to get quite the response to the more up-to-date reporters in the room.
