Out of the jam!

Sound the horns!

First of many!
There will be plenty of runs scored during this WBC, but there's only one first! The first RBI of the event belonged to Yadil Mojica, who plated Yoelkis Guibert with a screaming liner down the right field line.

Dribbler!
In tournament baseball, it's the little breaks, not the big explosions that generally are the difference. With that, the Netherlands' Josh Palacios found green grass up the middle in the bottom of the sixth to give his team the lead.
Hit ‘em where they ain’t
Like we said, the little breaks. This two-RBI hit from Chadwick Tromp wasn't pretty, but it accomplished what it needed to, putting the Netherlands up 4-1 heading into the top of the seventh.
