What happened in Leipzig?
RB Leipzig opened the scoring within the opening two minutes through Angelino, before Amadou Haidara doubled Leipzig’s lead 11 minutes later with a volley.
Justin Kluivert then added a third in the second-half. United scored twice late on through Bruno Fernandes and Paul Pogba but were unable to level the game.
How much prize money will United lose?

They would have been able to knock £25 million off their £75 million annual payment if they had failed to qualify for the competition last season, as it would have been a second season in a row without Champions League football.
The deal with shirt sponsors Chevrolet is not impacted by their exit. In fact, the terms of that do not change unless United get relegated.
What is United’s current financial situation?
United’s first-quarter financial results were published last month and showed that the club’s revenue was £109 million, down 19.5 per cent compared with the same quarter last year.
Matchday revenue fell significantly to £1.7 million — as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic — while commercial revenue dropped 25.7 per cent, to £59.7 million.
Broadcast revenue was up, however, as a result of Premier League matches being played in July.
