It was a historically bad first half at Rupp Arena. Kentucky previously trailed by 21 points at halftime of home games in 1980 and 1926. That’s it. The 48-26 halftime lead by Notre Dame is a new low in the history of the Wildcats’ illustrious program.
When Kentucky shoots threes, you’re happy if it hits the rim. When Notre Dame throws up a no-look shot, you’re confident it’s going into the bucket. The Fighting Irish have made just shy of 60% of their shots to take a 22-point halftime lead. Take a look at all of the bad stats and try not to scream at your screen.
