
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Virginia coach Tony Bennett had pressing items on his agenda Monday night: In less than 24 hours, Justin Robinson and ninth-ranked Virginia Tech would bring one of the nation’s best offenses to town, and Bennett, like his players, had approximately zero interest in letting UVa’s in-state rival leave John Paul Jones Arena with a win for the second straight season. That’s where the focus was then, on Tech, and not on whatever was happening in the rest of the ACC. There are only so many hours in a day, after all. Bennett allocates his more judiciously than most.
