ATLANTA – Keisha Lance Bottoms, a diehard Falcons fans, insists that she’s gotten over 28-3 … that monumental collapse against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LI.
Yet with her civic duty as Atlanta’s mayor – and after causing a stir with her “anybody but the Saints” declaration before the conference title games – Bottoms at least had to address the New England team that has come to her city this week in pursuit of another Lombardi Trophy.
“My husband has told me that I’ve now offended all the New Orleans fans, to not also offend all of the Patriots fans,” Bottoms said. “But what I will say is that we look forward to a rematch.
“And if the Patriots are fortunate enough to make the Super Bowl next year, I’m sure we’ll see them there.”

A video clip of Bottoms’ bashing of the Saints was aired on the video board at the Superdome during the NFC Championship Game, which prompted a round of boos.
Now she seems to be playing nice, given how the Falcons were the butt of so many jokes after LI.
But really: Challenging Bill Belichick and Tom Brady?
Her latest assertion is probably even more of a challenge for the Falcons, the hometown team that will be coming off a 7-9 season.
