Marques Townes was the hero for the little team that could from Chicago. He hit the game-winning three-pointer and the Loyola Ramblers are one win away from the Final Four.
Townes hit his three-pointer with six seconds to play and that extended Loyola's one-point lead to 69-65. The team withstood a three-pointer from Nevada's Caleb Martin and hung on for the 69-68 win.
Eleventh-seeded Loyola hit its first 13 shots of the second half and made 18-of-24 from the field in the final 20 minutes. Townes led the Ramblers with 18 points, while Clayton Custer added 15 points for head coach Porter Moser's team.

After opening the NCAA tournament with back-to-back buzzer-beating wins over Miami and Tennessee, the Loyola Ramblers did not get off to the start head coach Porter Moser wanted to see from his team.
Loyola was down by double digits in the early going to seventh-seeded Nevada, but that deficit did not dissuade Townes, Custer and their teammates. They picked up their defensive play, started to make their shots and rallied with a 20-4 burst to close the half.

Michigan 99, Texas A&M 72
The first half was decisive in this game, as the third-seeded Michigan Wolverines blew the seventh-seeded Texas A&M Aggies out of the water with a remarkable first half.

Veteran Moritz Wagner led the Wolverines with 14 points in the first half, and Michigan took a 52-28 lead into the locker room against an Aggies team team that looked completely perplexed by the Wolverines' offense.
The Aggies were unable to steady themselves or get back in the game in the second half, as the Wolverines kept on pounding their opponents.

Kansas State 61, Kentucky 58
Ninth-seeded Kansas State jumped out to a big lead, Kentucky mounted a relentless comeback and Kansas State had the final say in this Sweet 16 battle of the Wildcats.

Barry Brown hit the go-ahead layup for Kansas State, taking the ball to the hoop and beating Kentucky's tremendous defense in the paint.
Kentucky, the No. 5 seed, was not able to respond after Brown gave his team the lead.

"I was able to move the ball around a little bit and put it where the defense wasn't," Brown told sideline interviewer Lisa Byington on the CBS broadcast after the final buzzer.
Brown showed courage in taking the ball to the hole because Kentucky's defense had just blocked a key shot on the previous sequence.

Kansas State forward Xavier Sneed was not about to let this game slip away, as he scored 22 points and corralled nine rebounds to help head coach Bruce Weber's team get over the top.
Kentucky had a difficult time contending with Kansas State's active defense. Coach John Calipari's team turned the ball over 15 times, and Kansas State took advantage of those errors by driving the ball to the hole.
Florida State 75, Gonzaga 60
The ninth-seeded Seminoles ignored the ranking and took Gonzaga apart late in the first half and pulled away after the Bulldogs got within four points in the second half.
