Jon Jones has wasted no time in responding to some critical comments from a former UFC champion.
Yesterday in an interview, the now-retired Miesha Tate was quite honest about her thoughts on Jones on the heels of his CSAC hearing. Tate stated that she has stopped caring about Jones and that she is done with him after all the issues he has had outside the cage over the past few years. She said she gave him the benefit of the doubt the first few times, but not any more.
In response, Jones took a veiled shot at Tate’s retirement while defending himself:
@MieshaTate I don’t quit when things get tough for me, I get stronger. You just wait and see, maybe you’ll even find motivation in it. Sucks I lost you as a fan. Enjoy retirement sister

Jones was fined $205,000 and had his license revoked by the California State Athletic Commission in a hearing yesterday regarding a UFC 214 in-competition drug test failure for Turinabol. He still has to plead his case to USADA, who could give him up to a four-year suspension due to this being his second offense with the anti-drug organization.
Tate, the former UFC women’s bantamweight champion, retired after a UFC 205 loss to Raquel Pennington.
