The NFL playoffs continue with wild-card action Sunday as the reigning Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers begin defense of their title with a rematch of their Week 6 game against the Philadelphia Eagles

The No. 2 seed Buccaneers host the No. 7 seed Eagles in what, on paper at least, appears to be a mismatch, though Tampa Bay only won the earlier contest in Philadelphia, 28-22. But the Bucs have an overwhelming experience edge — at least on offense — not to mention the most successful quarterback in NFL playoff history in seven-time Super Bowl champ Tom Brady.

At 44 years old, Brady put together one of the best seasons of his illustrious career, leading the NFL in completions (485), attempts (719), passing yards (5,316), passing yards per game (312.7) and touchdown passes (43), while commanding the second-best offense in the NFC. The Bucs defense was stout as well, holding opponents to 353 points (fifth-best in the NFL) and only 1,573 yards rushing (third best).

REVIEW: How Brady has owned the Eagles, except for one 'Philly Special' night

That rushing defense will be put to the test against an Eagles team that surprised many by making the playoffs under first-year coach Nick Sirianni and second-year quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Philadelphia led the NFL with 2,715 rushing yards and 159.7 yards per game, while spreading the wealth among four running backs: Miles Sanders (754 yards), Jordan Howard (406), Boston Scott (373) and Kenneth Gainwell (291). Hurts added 784 rushing yards to lead the team, and he may have to rely heavily on his legs if hopes to earn his first playoff win.
