Rodney McGruder's decision to walk over to the Warriors' bench after last night's loss at Chase Center and exchange with Juan Toscano-Anderson drew some significant criticism from both Klay Thompson and Draymond Green postgame.
Detroit Pistons guard Wayne Ellington, who McGruder apparently was standing up for by walking over to the Warriors' bench after the game, had some strong words for Thompson and Green during a media availability on Sunday morning.
"First of all, I think it's very unprofessional and definitely not classy for somebody to attack Rodney's professional career the way it was attacked," Ellington told reporters Sunday (h/t Detroit News/Rod Beard).
"To be honest, the guy over there, Juan, is the one who started the whole thing. Rod is a man of respect, like myself, and I felt like he took offense to whatever the guy was saying to me in the first half.
"For Draymond to sit up there and talk all that kind of crazy stuff behind a microphone, I think that's the fake tough-guy stuff, to be honest with you."

After McGruder came over to the Warriors' bench and had a brief conversation with Toscano-Anderson before being led away by team staffers, Klay had the perfect response while on the broadcast.
Draymond doubled down in his postgame press conference, questioning why McGruder was being the "tough guy" for the Pistons and saying something to the bench after the game.
After Ellington's response, Green likely will have his own retort the next time the Warriors make him available for comment.
