LeBron James Labels Michael Jordan’s Arch Nemesis an Absolute Monster - Essentially Sports

LeBron James is a master of the game, but he still seeks the wisdom from the men who achieved it before him. Isiah Thomas is a man who is presently in the negative light for his portrayal in the recent episodes of ‘The Last Dance.’

Thomas played for the Detroit Pistons and was a certified ‘Bad Boy.’ The Pistons achieved success in the late 80s and terrorized the NBA with their physical gameplay. Thomas, a Hall of Famer was instrumental in for the ‘Bad Boys’ team, as he was tremendously skilled in many aspects.

LeBron James who is a physically dominating player as well, posted a video tribute to Isiah Thomas on Twitter. He lauded the NBA legend amid public hate that Thomas led the Pistons team that brutally handled Michael Jordan back in their playing days.

LeBron James praises monstrous Isiah Thomas

James is certainly the best all-around player in the league. However, he put forth his opinion on Twitter by posting point guard Isiah Thomas’s highlight reel from his career. His most memorable performance came in July 1998, when the Pistons faced the Los Angeles Lakers. The significance of it was that it was Game 6 of the NBA Finals.

Thomas scored a memorable 43 points in the Game and posted 25 points in the third quarter alone. His beastly third-quarter performance is a finals record. ‘Ballislife.com’ took the trouble of digging out Thomas’ miraculous effort, which then James reshared to his account.

James poured the compliments in his Twitter caption. “Had that ball on a string. Layup package next level. Pull up game phenomenal. Nothing he couldn’t do,” he embraced. Isiah Thomas spent his entire career with the Pistons and won back-to-back titles in 1989 and 1990.

As a result, Thomas’s achievements got him into the Basketball Hall of Hame in 2000. The 12-time All-Star was one of the better passing players in the game. He led the “Bad Boys Pistons,” a team that revolutionized the physical game in the league. 

The 59-year-old’s name is also in the coveted list of ’50 Greatest Players in NBA History.’ He was recently passed by LeBron James on the all-time assist charts. James is the only player in the Top 10 list who is not a point guard. A truly astounding achievement for the Lakers man.
