Sports fans on social media made light of the detail, which appeared to just be the style of the title cards (Bill Clinton, for instance, was referred to as “former Arkansas governor”).
Obama and Jordan are believed to be friends, even though the two traded shots over their respective golf games while Obama was still in office.
In 2016, Jordan received The Presidential Medal of Freedom from Obama.
