With Dan Enos leaving Alabama for the Miami offensive coordinator job, there is again an opening for the job in Tuscaloosa. Who will be in charge of the Crimson Tide offense with Tua Tagovailoa and his top receivers returning for 2019?
We came up with a list of potential candidates who would fit including a few with ties to Alabama or Nick Saban.

Alabama has promoted from within for this position a few times recently. That includes Steve Sarkisian, who went from an analyst role to the national title game in early 2017. Mike Locksley also started at Alabama as an analyst like Jones was last season. He's been in place and would have familiarity with the plan and personnel.
It wouldn't seem like a long-term option and Alabama could be in the market again should Jones have a good season and see his head coaching stock rise but next season figures to be the one with the most explosive offensive potential with so many skilled players returning.

The interim head coach at Maryland last season was the offensive coordinator at LSU the year before, so the SEC West is familiar territory. All things considered, Canada led Maryland well with the storm clouds of controversy hovering all season.
The Terps finished 5-7 but led Ohio State nearly all game before losing in the closing seconds, 52-51. Maryland also opened the season with a win over a Texas team that went on to win the Sugar Bowl over Georgia.

The former Tennessee head coach knows what it's like coaching under Saban at LSU and the Dolphins. He's currently at Missouri as offensive coordinator. He helped Drew Lock and the Tiger offense in 2017 and would have Clemson grad transfer at QB in 2019 should he stay.
