SAN ANTONIO - Leading up to Thursday night, there was one thing on everyone's mind - Kawhi Leonard and his return to San Antonio.
Forgotten in the tornado of tweets, articles and gossip was DeMar DeRozan and his chance to show Toronto what it was missing.
Not only did he play well, but the Spurs ran away with a win from the very beginning.
In it, DeRozan got his first-career triple-double, scoring 21 points and picking up 14 rebounds with 11 assists in the Spurs 125-107 win.
In his return, Kawhi played well, scoring 21 points himself on 8-13 shooting but no other Raptor was able to get past the 14-point mark.
Without Kyle Lowry, the Raptors looked slow, but the Spurs were ready to play as every player looked prepared for the lights.
Three Spurs scored more than 20, with Derrick White putting up 19.
Lonnie Walker also got his first NBA minutes, going 1-2 in the final minutes.
San Antonio will play Memphis Saturday.
