Antonio Brown's cryptic response to owner's trade hint - New York Post

Antonio Brown has some words — and a picture — for Art Rooney II.

After the Steelers’ owner told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette it would be “hard to envision” the Pro Bowl receiver being on the team when training camp starts, Brown responded with a brief message on Twitter Thursday night.

The 30-year-old posted a picture of himself shaking hands with Rooney II, accompanied by the caption “Good Business #Boomin.”

The post seems to be a sarcastic response to Rooney II’s apparent willingness to deal Brown this offseason, who has posted at least 1,250 receiving yards in six straight seasons.

Pittsburgh would be giving up a great receiver if they let Brown leave, but at this point they seem to think he’s not worth the hassle. Rooney said that they would not release Brown, but insisted that the $21 million cap hit would not stop them from trading the mercurial star.

“That has to be taken into consideration, but, as I sit here today, I’m not going to say that’s going to box us into anything,” Rooney told the paper. “If we decide something has to be done, we’ll figure out how to deal with that.”

After clashing with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger during a walkthrough on Dec. 26, Brown went AWOL, refusing to practice, skipping team meetings and only showing up on the day of Week 17’s must-win game vs. the Bengals. The Steelers benched Brown, who would leave at halftime.

Since then, he has ignored calls from Rooney II, Roethlisberger and head coach Mike Tomlin.
