NFL Draft 2022: Giants fall into rising pass rusher; Jets making shocking pick; Eagles add offensive playmake - NJ.com

The 2022 NFL Draft is shaping up to be all about three teams: the New York Giants, New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles.

Both the Giants and Jets will have a pair of top-10 picks. The Eagles will have a pair in the top 20 following their blockbuster pre-draft trade with the New Orleans Saints.

Here’s what NFL.com predicted in its latest first-round mock.

Jets

The Jets have a pair of first-round picks in 2022: their own, plus one from the Seattle Seahawks as part of the Jamal Adams trade.

4. Sauce Gardner, CB, Cincinnati

Robert Saleh is a defensive coach, and Gardner might just be the one can’t-miss corner in this class.

10. (from SEA) Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama

Your first shocker of the 2022 NFL Draft. ... The expectation is that Williams will return to full health and end up being a true WR1.

Giants

The Giants have a pair of first-round picks in 2022: their own, plus one from the Chicago Bears as part of the deal which sent Justin Fields to the Windy City and Kadarius Toney to the Big Apple.

5. Ickey Ekwonu, OT, N.C. State

The Giants are starting a new era in East Rutherford, and if Ickey falls to No. 5, there’d be a lot of happiness in Big Blue land.

7. (from CHI) Travon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

Walker could very well go first overall in this draft ... His combine performance was legendary.

Eagles

The Eagles are sitting on two first-round picks: one from the Miami Dolphins in the DeVonta Smith trade and one from the New Orleans Saints in their massive swap of multiple first-round selections.

15. (from MIA) Drake London, WR, USC

If London slips this far, someone could trade up to get him.

18. (from NO) Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington

McDuffie and his teammate, Kyler Gordon, are right up there after Gardner and (Derek) Stingley on CB boards.
