CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Baker Mayfield’s trade request to the Browns on Thursday and word from his reps that he had no plans on playing for them in 2022 may have revived the blockbuster deal for Deshaun Watson, a league source told cleveland.com.
After Watson called the Browns on Thursday to eliminate them from the trade sweepstakes, Mayfield’s agent, Tom Mills, asked the Browns to trade their No. 1 overall pick in 2018.
