A riveting new problem arose for Dana White as the spectacular night of UFC 250 came to an end. Irish fighter Conor McGregor abruptly announced his retirement as soon as the event at Las Vegas ended.
This came as a surprise for the entire UFC Universe. Even though Conor made an amazing comeback in January, has been looking to fight various potential opponents, and is working out and posting videos for the fans, he announced his retirement out of nowhere.
Hey guys I’ve decided to retire from fighting.
Thank you all for the amazing memories! What a ride it’s been!

Dana responded to the news as soon as he heard it. During the post-fight press conference, he explained that a lot of people feel like Conor is feeling right now.
He said that the pandemic is affecting businesses and people all over, and that he is doing his best to keep everything running smoothly. In times like these, he can’t do much about fighters not wanting to fight. He said,
“If you don’t think I want to throw up my hands and say f** this s**. The amount of people I have gunning at me right now is insane. The amount of people I have gunning for me right now is insane!”
Of course, Dana has faced unprecedented fire from fighters over the past few weeks. With Jon Jones stating that he intends to vacate the title, and now this statement from “The Notorious”, it seems like Dana has his tasks lined up for him.
Dana White says he has no problems with Conor McGregor, Jorge Masvidal, and Jon Jones sitting out
Addressing the fact that so many fighters, especially the top names, want out, Dana said,
“I don’t give a f***. I’m trying my best to keep the train on the tracks.”
However, he also said that he understands the state of mind of thee fighters.
“You don’t have to fight. If these guys want to sit out and retire, if that’s what Conor McGregor, Jon Jones, and Jorge Masvidal are feeling right now, I feel you. One a certain level, I understand it! We’ve been here before, this has happened to us before, more than once too.”
How do you think will Dana solve the problem of the top names of the game piling up on the retirement sheet?
