On Saturday, trainer Mark Casse will send out Tap It to Win in the 2020 Belmont Stakes. The 59-year-old trainer, who recently was elected to the racing Hall of Fame, has won the last two Triple Crown races: the 2019 Preakness (with War of Will) and Belmont (with Sir Winston). On Saturday, Casse goes for three straight with Tap It to Win, who is coming off an impressive five-length win on June 4.

Tap It to Win is listed at 6-1 in the current 2020 Belmont Stakes odds. The Barclay Tagg-trained Tiz the Law is the 6-5 morning-line favorite in the 2020 Belmont Stakes field. Post time for the race is 5:42 p.m. ET. The former horse racing analyst for ESPN and NBC, Goldberg became a legendary handicapper by going straight to the source. In 2004, he had dinner before the Belmont Stakes with trainer Nick Zito at a pizzeria in Queens. The dinner led Goldberg to play Zito's 36-1 monster long shot Birdstone to win and on top of his exacta, trifecta and superfecta bets. When Birdstone shocked the world, Hammer won $24,000. In the San Felipe Stakes in March, Goldberg gave out a $20 exacta that paid $180. Anybody who has followed Hammer's horse racing picks has seen huge returns.

Top 2020 Belmont Stakes predictions 

One surprise: Goldberg is completely fading Dr Post, even though he's one of the favorites at 5-1. In fact, Goldberg says Dr Post doesn't even hit the board. Trained by Todd Pletcher and ridden by Irad Ortiz Jr., Dr Post finished fourth in his only start in 2019 but is a perfect two-for-two this year. He is coming off a win in the Unbridled Stakes at Gulfstream Park on April 25. 

But Dr Post's Beyer Speed Figure regressed in his last race, from 96 to 86. Ideally, horses are improving in their three-year-old year. Goldberg doesn't rank Dr Post in his top four and won't have the horse in any of his 2020 Belmont Stakes bets.

Another curveball: Goldberg is high on Pneumatic, who's listed at 8-1 in the Belmont Stakes 2020 odds. The Steve Asmussen-trained horse was a late addition to the 2020 Belmont Stakes field, but he's the son of Uncle Mo, a three-time graded stakes winner who had Kentucky Derby aspirations before an illness forced him to be scratched.

After not running as a two-year-old, Pneumatic won his maiden special weight in February and an optional claims race in late April at Oaklawn Park. Then, he took third at the graded Matt Winn late last month. Pneumatic's outside post position could bode extremely well for the three-year-old colt. 

"Pneumatic has made just three career starts, but he has improved every time," Goldberg told SportsLine. "His two wins came when he was drawn outside, while his one loss came when he drew the rail. He has drawn the far outside post on Saturday."
