A second NBA player has tested positive for coronavirus, and it’s one of Rudy Gobert’s teammates.
Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz has also tested positive for COVID-19, according to ESPN. Gobert testing positive on Wednesday, which led to the NBA suspending its season until further notice.
Mitchell was the only other member of the Jazz team and staff to test positive for the deadly virus. The team conducted 58 tests in all. ESPN reports that Jazz players privately say Gobert, 27, “had been careless in the locker room touching other players and their belongings.”
Mitchell, 23, was named an All-Star for the first time this season. His father, also named Donovan, is the director of player relations for the New York Mets.
