The second round at The Masters is underway.
Follow along with us as we keep up with the latest on Tiger Woods, Jordan Spieth and the rest of the field from Augusta National.
After Thursday's first round, Spieth was the leader following his opening 66 that included five consecutive birdies on the back nine. He bogeyed the 18th hole to finish at -6, holding a two-shot lead heading into Friday's play.
With his solo lead after the first round, Spieth gives himself a chance to become the first player to ever win wire-to-wire twice at the Masters. He and four other players have accomplished the feat, but no player has done it twice.
Friday's early play hasn't seen any staggeringly low numbers as the field makes a push to qualify for the weekend. The cut line would currently sit around +4, but that can (and probably will) fluctuate throughout the day.
Captain America leads the Masters
Patrick Reed went full-Marc Leishman, birdieing his first three holes to take the lead at 6-under early in his round Friday.
Leishman sits at 5-under, followed by Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson at 4-under.
Tiger's in the woods
Momentum shmo-mentum. Tiger pulls 3-wood and lands his tee shot in the rough. He follows that with another airmailed shot at the green, landing in the woods where he's forced to take an unplayable lie. After taking a drop, he punches out of the woods into the sand. When all is said and done, he leaves No. 5 with a double-bogey, dropping to 4-over for the tournament, 3-over through his first five holes.
Tiger avoids disaster with impressive up-and-down
Whoops. Tiger's tee shot airmails the green and lands near the 5th hole tee box. He plays the pitch as good as possible, leaving a difficult par putt. Tiger did Tiger things, saving par to remain at 2-over. Big momentum play from the 14-time major champion.
Leishman on a roll early
Three holes, three birdies for the Australian. Marc Leishman is, for now, the sole leader at 5-under par.
Another missed opportunity for Tiger at No. 3
BOOM. Tiger Woods uncorks a massive drive that just comes just short of the slope infront of the green, leaving for a short up-and-down look at birdie. His playing partner, Tommy Fleetwood, did make it to the green with a shot for eagle. Tiger's pitch left him 7-feet for birdie, and the putt rolled just passed the cup. Another incredible drive leads to another disappointing par. 2-over.
We've got a few new leaders
Marc Leishman makes back-to-back birdies on the 1st and 2nd holes, taking the lead at 4-under par alongside Rafa Cabrera Bello and Patrick Reed.
Par 5's continue to befuddle Tiger
Tiger Woods hit driver again on No. 2, finding the fairway after a lucky bounce off a tree. After laying up with is second shot, Tiger's approach to the green failed to catch a downhill slope, leaving a lengthy look at birdie. The pace and line were slightly off, leaving a few feet for a par putt to remain at 2-over. He's made par at all five of the par 5's he's played in his Masters return.
More trouble for Lefty
Tiger struggles on No. 1
After a 340 yard drive in the middle of the fairway, Tiger Woods ended up with a tough test to save par after a wayward approach and blown pitch. His par putt fell short, leaving a tap in bogey to drop to 2-over.
Mickelson gets his money's worth on No. 9
Phil Mickelson is not your average golfer, but on the 9th hole, he looked like you and me and made a mess of the par 4. He spent some time among the patrons before tapping-in for 7, a triple-bogey.
The leaderboard is an absolute mess
For the time being, Bernd Wiesberger sits alone atop the leaderboard. The Austrian moved to 4-under after birdies on the 2nd and 3rd holes. Haven't heard of Wiesberger? Don't sweat it. The 32-year-old has never won a PGA Tour event, but has logged four wins on the European Tour and two on the Asian and Challenge tours. His best finish at Augusta National came in 2015, when he finished T22.
Bogeys stacking up for McIlroy
Rory McIlroy added another bogey to his card on the par 3 6th hole, dropping out of a tie for the lead and into second place at 2-under.
McIlroy, Kuchar bogey, slide back to pack
Rory McIlroy bogeyed No. 4 after back-to-back birdies. He's now even on the day and -3 overall.
Matt Kuchar held the lead solo for just a moment, however, as he bogeyed the fifth hole to fall to -3 as well. There is now seven players at 3 under and atop the leaderboard.
Another bogey for Spieth at No. 2
Jordan Spieth again had trouble with his drive on No. 2 and had to settle for bogey on the par 5. He was at the front of the green after his third shot, but his birdie putt slid four feet past the hole and he missed the par putt coming back. He's now -3 overall and sits in a tie for third.
McIlroy off to a hot start
Rory McIlroy boyed his first hole but rebounded for back-to-back birdies to get to -4 overall and in a tie for the lead with Matt Kuchar.
Spieth off to a rough start
Jordan Spieth drove the ball into the trees on the right side of No. 1 and struggled to get the ball back in play. After getting his third shot to the front edge of the green, he still needed three shots to get in the hole from there, taking a double bogey on the first and falling to 4 under overall and back into a tie for the lead.
