Caitlin Clark made history on Saturday by becoming the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double.
The Indiana Fever star hit the mark with her 10th rebound of the game early in the fourth quarter of an 83-79 win over the New York Liberty. It was also the first triple-double by any player in Fever history.

Clark played arguably the best quarter of her WNBA career to start the game. She dropped 11 points on 4-of-5 shooting (3-of-4 from three) with three assists, three rebounds and two steals.
While her scoring output slowed down over the final three quarters, Clark's playmaking and passing stood out. She got up to 10 assists midway through the third quarter.
The Fever made a late surge to get their first win over the Liberty since May 13, 2022, snapping a streak of nine straight losses. New York won the first three head-to-head matchups this season by an average of 27.7 points.
New York, which entered the game having won five straight and 13 of its last 14, led by as many as 11 points in the fourth quarter. The Fever closed the game on a 28-12 run over the final 8:51 to get their biggest victory of the season.
Clark scored six points, dished out three assists and grabbed four rebounds during that stretch. She previously flirted with a triple-double on June 30 against the Phoenix Mercury when she had 15 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds.
After a slow start, Clark has really started to settle in. She entered Saturday averaging 16.4 points on 38.5 percent three-point shooting, 7.9 assists, 6.3 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game in 10 starts since June 7.
Saturday marked the Fever's ninth win of the season in 22 games. They didn't get their ninth win until the 33rd game last season.
Indiana is currently the No. 8 seed in the playoff race, trailing the Chicago Sky by one-half game for the seventh spot.
Clark and the Fever will look to keep their positive momentum going when they host the Washington Mystics at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Wednesday.
