After years of trash talk, Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley will face off Saturday night. The former teammates meet in the main event of UFC Fight Night from the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas.
Covington (15-2) took a seven-fight winning streak into his most recent fight, a title shot against bitter rival and welterweight champion Kamaru Usman. Covington would lose the fight by fifth round knockout after a war that ranked among the sport's best battles in 2019. He has been out of action for nine months and now looks to get right against former champ Woodley.
Woodley (19-5-1) lost the welterweight title to Usman via lopsided decision two fights ago. That loss was followed up with another disappointing loss, with Gilbert Burns outworking Woodley in May. Woodley has promised to let his hands go against Covington after trading words through the media since Woodley's time as champion.
The six-fight main card gets underway at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN+ following prelims at 5 p.m.
