The red carpets from Churchill Downs and the celebrity parties have been rolled up and stored away until next year's Kentucky Derby. But we feel 'justified' to go back over a few of our favorite moments with the stars from television, film, sports, and music who we met along the way this past weekend.
ESPN reporter Allison Williams was thrilled to be a part of this year's Derby weekend.
"This is my first year coming to the Kentucky Derby and it's been a bucket list item for as long as I can remember," said Williams. "It's my Trifecta of everything I love — it's sports, it's parties and it's getting dressed up. What more could you ask for?"

Saturday was actor and comedian Anthony Anderson's fourth trip to the Kentucky Derby and he wanted to share the experience with his wife Alvina Stewart this year. Anderson, star of ABC's "Black-ish" came to the Derby in a canary yellow suit and was a hit on the red carpet.
"You know we go into the closet and close our eyes and grab whatever," joked Anderson. "One time I grabbed her dress and almost had to wear that!"
Celebrity chef Tom Colicchio dropped into Louisville this weekend to party and attend the races but he may have also been doing some pre-planning for his Emmy and James Beard Award-winning culinary series "Top Chef," which will soon begin taping in Kentucky.
"I think Kentucky as a whole really symbolizes what is going on in America right now, food, drink and the culture as a whole," Colicchio said. "We decided the Bluegrass state would be a great spot to come and spotlight."
Colicchio also made sure to mention he will return to Louisville in September to take part in "Bourbon and Beyond," a music and food festival.
Kentucky Derby: Celebs and fashion flood Churchill Downs despite record rain
Country music star Kix Brooks and his wife Barbara spent their Kentucky Derby Day with the rest of Patricia Barnstable-Brown's guests seated at a ritzy table on Churchill Downs' Millionaires Row. It's the only place the couple would want to be on Derby Day.
But 25 years ago it was a different story. The couple watched the races from the "cheap seats" and it was the Kentucky Derby they will never forget.
"We decided to elbow our way through the infield up to the fence to get the best view of the race we possibly could," said Brooks. It was 1986, the year jockey Bill Shoemaker won the Kentucky Derby on Ferdinand.
"I will never forget it, there we were, the two of us standing against the fence after an unspeakable outrageous day," Brooks said, "and to see Shoemaker win his last one, that's the race I will always remember."
More Derby celebs: Why we see repeat stars like Joey Fatone each year
But after it all, we like to think NBC Sports commentator and former World champion figure skater Johnny Weir summed up the weekend best with these two words — "Kentucky rules."
